We booked online as we got tired. The room was clean and updated. There were plenty of plug ins including USB tto charge your phone. Free wifi was offered (I didn't use). Breakfast was minimal options, but fresh and tasty.
Hospitality Extraordinaire sums it up. You cannot go wrong here! Vinnie Patel is the “Manager” of the Decatur Clarion and he will run the gauntlet to ensure you are comfortable during your stay. We were in town for a funeral and as we gathered in the lobby to share memories and stories into the evening, Vinnie wanted to put on a pot of coffee for us even showing us how up operate the coffee system and locate supplies in their kitchen which was already closed at that time of day. This sentiment was shared by EVERYONE we met who worked there. This kind of hospitality rarely if ever happens, and it was so overwhelmingly helpful during our difficult time that we wish to express our sincere appreciation and thanks! This went even further when Vinnie checked us in for our return flight, printed our boarding passes and even sent copies to us via email and text. Seriously! Job well done! I might also note, this hotel is extremely clean. I would bring ear plugs if you are a “light sleeper” as there is the expected road noise of a thoroughfare in a mid-size community. Overall, EXCEPTIONAL! Thank you for your kindness.
Holy cow. Great stay. Remodeled room elegant decor and pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone let alone the budget traveler.
Great experience. The rep Vinny displayed great customer service from the time we arrived till the time we left. The room was in great condition and location was perfect for our stay. Will definitely book again for our stay next time we're in town.
This was a great remodel of the former hotel that was here. The staff ate super friendly and the rooms are very clean. The bedding is all new and very comfortable.
This hotel is being renovated and it is very nice but will be beautiful once all is done. Our room was very clean and spacious. The owner is a wonderful and friendly young man and said this is his passion and you can tell! He tries very hard to make sure everyone has a great stay. The only thing I would suggest is another waffle maker or another hot item, it is a large hotel and more is needed for hot breakfast. We will definitely stay here again.
This was really a great stay. Room was clean, comfortable bed, with a fridge/microwave and a big flat screen TV. Felt safe and there were plenty of restaurants near by. I missed breakfast, but had a lovely chat with the owner who was kind enough to let me have a late check out. I have added to my favorites.
Recently remodeled room was very clean and comfortable. Great coffee with breakfast. Wonderful welcoming service.
